Frequently Asked Questions

What is the lead time?
The standard lead time for a made-to-order pendant is 4–6 weeks.
If you need it sooner, please contact us—we may be able to accommodate your request.

What pendant length will suit my bench size?
We recommend positioning your pendant 200mm from each end of the bench. This ensures optimal light distribution and a balanced look in proportion to your bench length.

Is this pendant bright enough for my kitchen island?
Our linear pendants feature both downlighting and uplighting, providing 750 lumens per meter of downlight—equivalent to one bright standard light bulb per meter. They are commonly installed over kitchen islands and are designed to function as both a practical task light and an attractive design feature.
We recommend using a dimmer switch to allow flexibility in light output.

Is this pendant dimmable?
Yes, our linear pendants are fully dimmable and come with compatible drivers.
Please note: dimmer switches must be supplied and installed by your electrician.

What are the suspension options?
You can choose between adjustable cable suspension or fixed down rods:

  • Cable suspension features a minimal, low-voltage wire that snakes up the cable. This option is suitable for pendants up to 2400mm in length.

  • Down rods contain concealed wiring within a hollow rod. They are cut to a fixed length with limited adjustability, so it’s important to determine your desired drop height before installation.
Pendants over 2400mm long require down rods.

What is a remote driver?
All our luminaires include one or two LED drivers, which convert 240V mains power down to 24V. These drivers are separate from the fitting and are typically installed in a ceiling void or similar accessible space above the pendant. If this isn’t possible, your electrician can suggest an alternative location.

What drop should I consider?
As a general guide, pendants should hang approximately 100mm above the tallest user’s head. Subtract this from your ceiling height to determine the appropriate drop.

How are they fixed to the ceiling?
Cable suspensions are screw-fixed directly to the ceiling.
Down rods are connected via either flush or surface-mounted ceiling roses.
Proper ceiling blocking is required to ensure a secure installation.
